Transition to a Fall Wardrobe

Fall is here and that means it’s time to start layering!

As the temperatures begin to drop, figuring out what to wear can be challenging, especially when you’re looking to stay on trend but cozy at the same time. Check out our tips on how you can transition into your fall wardrobe.

Sweater Weather

When you think of fall, you think of “sweater weather”. Even though you can wear lightweight sweaters in the summer, true sweater weather often begins in the fall! Pull out your favourite cashmere, wool, or cotton sweaters when the air gets a little chilly. Sweaters are a versatile, but essential piece to your fall wardrobe. Wear them with jeans or leggings with ankle boots for a casual look!

Scarves

We’re huge scarves fans! You can never have too many scarves and there are just so many different types of fall scarves to mix and match with your fall wardrobe. Plus, you’ll need as much warmth as you can get! There are many ways to wear a scarf too, so upgrade your scarf game this fall with some of these styles: the braid, classic loop, the shawl, French knot, two-sided twist, double bandana and more!

Shoes

As we temporarily say goodbye to sandals and flip flops, we can say hello again to boots – ankle booties, knee-high boots, combat boots and more! You can wear ankle booties with cropped pants or denim for a casual look, knee-high boots over a pair of leggings or a skirt for a more sophisticated look or combat boots with a midi dress for a modern and chic look! You can always mix up your shoe game with your outfits too!

Jackets

Don’t forget the most important piece of clothing to finish off your fall outfit: a jacket! Fall weather isn’t as cold as winter weather, but you’ll still need a transitional jacket to keep you warm on those breezy days. We recommend a suede or leather jacket, shacket, jean jacket, trench coat, blazer or even a fleece jacket to help you get through the cool fall days.

We hope our tips have made it easier for you to transition your wardrobe to the fall and gives you a better idea of what to shop for if you’re looking for new fall fashion!

Enjoy the fall season!
